Ombré Brows are a cosmetic tattoo created using a digital permanent makeup machine. Ombré Brows are low maintenance, designed to define the eyebrow by mimicking a light to dark powder or tint effect. The blub of the eyebrow is much lighter and as it gets to the tail it becomes darker.
We do not provide Microblading services here at BWS.

Ombre brow is a shading effect that mimics powder or tint, with a gradual fade from the tail to the head of the brow. It’s performed with a digital machine that implants pigment at a much quicker speed, enables more passes without causing scarring to the skin.
Microblading uses a bladed hand tool to cut into the skin, to mimic hair-like strokes and deposit pigment. Once the cuts have been made, pigment is left of the skin for several minutes to further penetrate the cuts to allow for more visible color. If you have any of the following you may experience retention issues with microblading:
Please make sure you are a candidate by going over the questions and answering truthfully. Not answering truthfully can lead to undesirable results and/or damage to the skin.
1. Are you pregnant or Nursing?
The hormones from pregnancy and nursing affect the retention of the pigment and how well the skin heals. Please wait 8 weeks after giving birth and/or nursing your beautiful baby, before booking an appointment.
2. Are you on Blood Thinners?
If you are any kind of blood thinners, you will need to consult your Doctor first and bring in a consent note. Blood Thinners can affect pigment retention and reduce your ability to anesthetize.
3. Are there any ongoing medical conditions you are currently being treated for?
You will need to consult your Doctor first and bring in a Doctors consent note.
4. Have you gotten Laser, Peels, Botox or Fillers done recently?
You will need to wait before scheduling an appointment:
5. Are you using Retin A, Glycolic or any other similar type of product?
Stop using these products 4 weeks before your appointment. Your skin may be too thin while using these products which can lead to damage.
6. Are you on Accutane?
You will need to wait a full year before having PMU done if you have been on Accutane.
7. Do you have any active acne or open skin in the brow area?
You will need to wait until the lesions/wound heal completely before having PMU done. We will NOT work on open skin. Your appointment will be rescheduled if you have active acne or open skin in the brow area the day of your appointment, fees may be added on.
8. Are you suntanned or sunburned?
You must wait until the skin has healed and returned to it's natural color before getting PMU. Suntanned skin will distort the brow pigment when it heals and become a unflattering color.
9. A few other Contraindications that will require you to wait or get your Doctors clearance:
10. Contraindications that Require Medical Clearance AND Pre-Medication
11. Is there anything I should know that I haven’t already asked you?
Do you have any other concerns, medical or otherwise, I should be aware of?
*If you need premedication to see a dentist, you must premedicate to get PMU*
Permanent makeup (PMU), also known as cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation, is the process of implanting colored pigment beneath the surface of the skin by means of a tiny, sterile needle to produce the appearance of cosmetic makeup or to enhance the natural features of the face.
PMU is meant to be a natural-looking beauty enhancement. Body tattoos use ink, while PMU uses pigments. These pigments are designed to stay in place, and to gently fade over time. Fading is desired as it allows the technician to make changes to color and shape over time as the client’s natural coloration and facial changes occur.

The brows are shaped using the golden ratio, your brow bone and the natural flow/growth of your brow hair.
The golden ratio is a mathematical ratio you can find almost anywhere in nature. When applied to brow design it creates an organic, balanced, and aesthetically pleasing brow.
Highly-effective, topical anesthetic creams and gels are used for numbing during your procedure. Pain threshold levels vary from person to person and every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the entirety of the procedure. During the outline part of the procedure, no numbing is used. It feels like tweezing or a light scratching. Receiving the procedure during your menstrual cycle may increase your sensitivity.
Treatments are considered permanent and will not wash off, however, they will fade over time and may require a yearly color boost or touch-up every 1-3 years. Fading depends on a number of factors including the pigment color used (lighter colors fade faster), lifestyle (sun exposure), how much oil your skin produces, and your skin care regimens.
Typically, two treatments are needed, the initial treatment and the touch-up, at least 6 weeks apart. But some skin types may need a 3rd appointment.
At the touch-up treatment, we will assess the color retention and make adjustments as necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates. If your PMU does not heal perfectly the first time, do not worry! We can always go darker or add more density or shape at your next appointment.
This is a case by case situation. I will need to see your brows before moving forward. Corrections are often made to improve the shape, color, and symmetry of previous PMU. In some cases, removal might be recommended before proceeding.
Please note- If I did not do the original work, your session is considered a correction and is not a touch-up.
Please ensure that you are a good candidate for PMU by reviewing the questions above. If you have additional questions book a consultation.
